Flute Clarinet Cor Anglais Bassoon French Horn Katharine Wake studied flute with David Haslam before reading languages at St. Andrews. For many years a pupil of David Nicholson, she has also performed in masterclasses with Lorna McGhee, Peter-Lukas Graf and others. Katharine has translated several musical publications for Schott, and enjoys a busy life as performer and teacher. Helen Scott studies history at Edinburgh University, where she is an active member of the Music Society, managing an orchestra and playing with numerous ensembles. She specialises in orchestral playing, recently performing with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. Alix Cashmore is a 20 year old Undergraduate Bassoonist at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, who has recently played with the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble, the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain. Harry began his playing career at the Edinburgh Academy where he was invoved in various orchestras and chamber groups. Harry is now a member of the UCL Symphony Orchestra and has played in various Musical Theatre shows this year including ‘Putting it Together’ by Sondheim at this year’s Fringe. John Roberts began learning the oboe aged 11, and studied with Stephen West at RSAMD juniors for 5 years, before gaining scholarship to study with Christopher Cowie at the RCM, where he has been since 2008, appearing regularly nationwide as an orchestral player or soloist.
