Aberdeen born and bred,
Jacqueline studied violin
with Kenneth Piper at the
Royal College of Music.
She freelanced widely in
London before joining
the City of Birmingham
Symphony Orchestra.
She has worked in many
milieux including several
orchestras nationally and
internationally, chamber
groups and jazz/folk
collaborations. Returning
to Scotland, she works
primarily for the Scottish
Chamber Orchestra and
the Orchestra of the
Scottish Ballet.
Ellen-Raissa Jackson is
a freelance musician
and TV producer. She
studied violin and
viola at Dartington
College of Arts and
Edinburgh University
and now plays
regularly with various
groups including the
Rose Street Ensemble
and Sospiro Baroque.
She is currently
producing her first
feature film, Electric
Man, a comedy set in
an Edinburgh comic
shop.
After graduating from
the University of
Edinburgh in 2005,
Marian moved to the
Isle of Skye where she
worked as a strings
instructor for Highland
Council. Now back in
Edinburgh, Marian
combines work as a
violin tutor with playing
in the ceilidh band
Nine Points of Roguery.
