Members of the String Section - Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 2nd violin Kate Miguda 2nd violin Robert Roy 2nd violin Claire Yim 2nd violin Caroline Marshall Orchestral Player profiles...click photo to expand. 2nd Violin 2nd Violin 2nd Violin 2nd Violin Kate Miguda grew up in Edinburgh before studying with Richard Ireland and Maciej Rakowski at the Royal Northern College of Music where she gained her Bachelor of Music degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in performance. Whilst there, she also took part in masterclasses with Lorand Fenyves and Leland Chen. As a freelance violinist she has played with the Halle, RLPO and Opera North amongst other orchestras. Freelanced in London for 17 years playing many shows including Sweeney Todd. Member of Scottish Ballet for 25 years. Founder member of Allestri Ensemble playing both violin and clarsach. Claire spends most of the time playing the violin. She is a member of the Ghost Quartet, which plays as much Beethoven as possible.  She is looking forward to attending the Chamber Music Project with Hebrides Ensemble and Variations course run by the Edinburgh Quartet. Robert Roy studied music at Napier University and Violin under Michael Rigg.  He has been a regular member of many Orchestras and Ensembles in Edinburgh and Lothian for some 25 years.
