Members of the Orchestra - Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 The orchestral manager for the entire production is in the very capable hands of Julian Wagstaff. Julian is a composer of classical and theatre music and lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he is also active as a writer and arranger. He was recently appointed Composer in Residence at Kings Buildings, University of Edinburgh. His work includes chamber music, symphonies, musicals and opera and is frequently performed in Scotland and beyond. Julian’s primary responsibility is the formation of the orchestra as well as ordering the smooth running of rehearsals and music distribution. An expert on Digidesign ProTools and its uses in recording and mixing, Paul delivers the studio recording and production curriculum at the University. Paul is a consultant on Pro Tools and mac systems to Castlesound one of Scotland’s Premier recording studios. He has had worked on many occasions with the award winning producing Calum Malcolm (The Blue Nile, Royal Scottish National Orchestra etc.). The sound engineer & producer Roddy Long, born in Edinburgh, made his concerto début at the age of fifteen with the Mendelssohn Concerto. Age of sixteen he moved to London to study at the Royal College of Music with Jaroslav Vanecek. He later attended the Aspen Music School in Colorado and was awarded a Lincoln Centre Scholarship for the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Roddy has taken part in masterclasses with Dorothy Delay, BBC Radio broadcasts and performed as a soloist and chamber musician including concertos by Beethoven, Brahms and  Prokoviev. He has worked with many orchestras in the UK including the Halle, Northern Sinfonia, English String Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Scottish Ensemble.
