Bruce was taught by Henry Nelmes Forbes, ABCA (Hons) on Piano Accordion. After adding arranging, woodwinds and percussion to his musical skills. Bruce moved down to England in 1961 and studied in Australia 1965, before moving to London where he has lived and worked for over forty years.As a session player Bruce has played with the finest in the industry including: Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Lulu, The Three Degrees, Sacha Distel to name a few. Orchestral performances have included The London Palladium, National Philharmonic, London Concert, Ronnie Hazelhurst orchestra among a long and distinguished list.Bruce is a prolific composer with nineteen orchestral compositions and fifteen jazz suites for larger orchestras. His compositions are played world-wide and taught in many major American universities. His Jazz Suites are used by Big Bands in Europe, Australia, the USA and Asia.
